June 5th: Lecture Series
Our featured speaker will be Cody Trestrail, founder of Brothers in Battle. He will cover topics such as "Winning the Fireground" and "No Excuses, Make the Grab." This will be a full day of learning about search, engine company ops, and more FOR THEM.
June 6th: Irons Ready HOT
Upon completion of this course Firefighters will be able to dress and set up their tools for success, perform a rapid size up to identify and defeat multiple forcible entry challenges, perform initial interior size up, account for door control, effectively use commands to enhance communication, develop good striking techniques, and perform the appropriatestandardized techniques while working alone or as part of a team.
June 7th: DIY Engine HOT
The BIB cadre will cover skills and techniques including masking up skills, forcible entry, 1-2 firefighter hose line stretching and advancing, loss of water options, various search techniques on and off the hose line, victim drags and removal, all with a focus on problem solving, communicating and adapting to rapidly changing circumstances on the fire ground.
