About the event
Cody has 30 years in this great Fire Service, first taking the Oath in 1995 at a small combination department in Washington State.
He then followed his dream and was blessed to work for the FDNY, where he was assigned to Ladder 119 in Brooklyn, the Special Operations Command "SOC", where he was assigned to Squad 1, also in Brooklyn.
He left the FDNY to put his family first and returned home where he recently retired from Portland Fire, Engine 31 after 15 years.
He remains active in the Fire Service, taking classes, attending conferences, and is a 406 FOOLS member. He is the founder and an instructor with the Brothers in Battle, LLC and has lectured and taught hands on training nationally and internationally. He is also the founder of the Firemanship Conference.
